The CAM is a Houston institution, serving as an important display space for contemporary art since 1948. The needs of the site consist mainly of basic information delivery in a very clear form. The deepest section is the archive of Exhibition History. The Exhibition History section contains large volumes of archived data from prior exhibitions going back to the earliest shows in the late 1940s. The site provides a clear, highly visible means of burrowing deep into the archive without losing your sense of place. The navigation allows the user to browse as widely as decade overviews and as specific as individual exhibitions with great detail.
